• The Video Doorbell is outdoor rated; the chime itself is not. They are not waterproof, so submersion is not supported, but camera exposure to the elements is.

• No, it’s not waterproof. Mine went out when it got cold (Texas). But the case is reasonably sealed from normal rain. The back has exposed wires but no more than a normal lit doorbell.

• Ours is under a covered porch but did withstand driven rain plus a Cat 5 hurricane. Ours is wired.
