Hello, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, it is possible to set up a Ring Video Doorbell Pro without an existing doorbell. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro requires 16-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz power. In situations where there is no existing doorbell system or the existing system is unusable, a plug-in adapter is suggested. For additional information on installing a plug-in adapter, visit our support center: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000081706-Installing-Your-Ring-Plug-in-Adapter-to-Your-Video-Doorbell-Pro. You can also visit the Ring Community. This is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another and share their feedback/experiences with Ring. We invite you to reach out at https://community.ring.com/ if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Video Doorbell Pro concern. Thank you, Nicole with Ring
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to clarify what is not working on your doorbell. You will need a doorbell transformer that meets the minimum specs. I had a working doorbelll and still had to upgrade the doorbell transformer. They are about $20. Check with ring for the spec on the correct transformer.
