No, you don't need to connect this to your home network at all. The only wireless function are the two devices wirelessly speaking to one another.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it doesn’t need WiFi to operate. It has is own 2.5ghz frequency that it uses to communicate. It has very low latency too, so there’s no strange delay in the sound. I also haven’t had any issues with drop outs either.
