Q: QuestionIf I have physical version of a game installed in my xbox, can I play it on the Xbox Rog Ally X or do have to buy the digital version?

• A:Answer If you mean by via disc then you’ll be able to use remote play which will require a stable internet connection by remotely connecting to your Xbox, otherwise any digital games that are “Xbox Play Anywhere” titles can be directly installed to the device if owned or via game pass ultimate

• A:Answer The Xbox Ally X so far is the only device with the AI Z2 Extreme processor. All the other Z2E devices ship without the AI NPU processor. With the NPU, AI processing doesn't need to be done on the GPU and is instead handled with the NPU. so one of the upcoming features for the NPU is Automatic Super Resolution (ASR). ASR means the GPU will be rendering the game at 720p, for example, and the NPU will upscale it at 1440p for example. It'll look really clear and because the GPU only needs to render at 720p, there will be higher frame rates and sharper images. Digital Foundry has tested early versions of ASR and said it looks very promising with low latency issues. Other devices that are regular Z2 Extreme will never get the NPU features like ASR.

The USB-C port supports (DisplayPort Alt Mode), which allows for video and data transmission to an external display.

• A:Answer No, The Xbox ally X is still an ROG Ally at its core and runs fully fledged windows, no subscription will be necesary for online play, however if you want access to gamepass, you may have to purchase gamepass PC or upgrade to gamepass ultimate if you want gamepass on xbox and pc/xbox ally.

Q: QuestionSo I placed an order for my Xbox rog ally x on OCT 17th and was told it would be about a two-three week wait for it. I’ve seen that the ship dates keep changing, and have recently changed to December. So will that affect my own date?

Q: QuestionMy concern is since the control buttons are all integrated into one $1000.00 piece of equipment will they hold up for the entire expected life of this unit? I've had to purchase new controllers throughout the life of my xboxes. The bumpers fails the most.

• A:Answer Nope. Games digitally owned across most store fronts can be directly installed to the device for on the go gaming. Xbox however the game must be labeled “Xbox Play Anywhere” to be able to install directly on the go. Otherwise you can use Remote Play or Cloud Gaming

Q: QuestionIf I pre ordered during the first batch but changed from delivery to pick up after the first batch is sold out, does that mean I have to wait for second batch or is the pre order linked to the batch it was purchased on??

• A:Answer You have to wait for the second batch, unfortunately. I am unable to pick my preorder up at my store on release day, so I changed my order from pick up to shipping and now it won’t be here until mid-December. I did not even think about the orders being fulfilled in different places based on delivery preference.

• A:Answer You can buy games on the Xbox app, Steam or whichever your preferred online game store is. The ROG Xbox Ally X is at it's heart still a Windows device or in other words a PC.

• A:Answer Yes, it possible to switch between multiple Xbox users/gamertags but works differently. Since it is Windows-based handheld PC, you can add different user profiles in Windows with different Microsoft account abd Xbox settings. Or use the Xbox application for switching accounts.

• A:Answer Yes. Do keep in mind that you should expect to have to have launched a game online for verification to be able to play offline. And, some games (perhaps such as Ubisoft games in steam that connect to Ubisoft when launching) may require periodic online check ins.
