• A:Answer Directly, no. It only provides access to various other streaming providers (e.g., Sling, Amazon Prime et al.). There are providers that claim to provide access to ESPN1 and ESPN 2. I haven't signed up for them, so I don't know whether they provide the access you desire. However, most providers allow for free access for a period of time, so you can see if they meet your desires.

• A:Answer No, the Roku does not require a subscription fee. The subscription fees you pay are for any of the services you choose facilitated within the Roku device, such as Netflix, Slingtv.com, Amazon video on demand, rdio and other premium subscription services.

• A:Answer My tv is hooked up to cable. The Roku hooks up to the tv. You will need to go on line to finish the setup, but, You follow the instructions to type in a special code from a signal on the Roku. Once it's set up, you don't need the computer to use it.

• A:Answer No. This device requires a Wi-Fi connection to a local network with Internet access. Most ISP providers have the option for a Wi-Fi enabled router. If not, one can be purchased from many vendors. (This answer doesn't necessarily apply if you are using a satellite ISP connection. Check with your vendor.) Be careful if you have data limits imposed by your ISP; this device requires at least 5Mbps service for each connected TV for acceptable performance (i.e., it won't work over a 56 Kbps dial-up line).

• A:Answer Not from Roku. But sights on your Roku might charge a fee. Such as Amazon Prime charges when you rent movies through them, etc.

Q: QuestionCan I use Roku 1 to mirror content (e.g., streaming live local CBC tv channel broadcast) from my tablet or PC to my TV screen?Am thinking of dropping my cable TV service. Quick search of channels and services available on Roku reveals it does not seem to include local TV broadcasts. Wondering if can mirror local TV that I can get on my Samsung tablet or laptop onto my TV screen via Roku box. If not, what is best combo of tech to get both local TV and streaming content available through a Roku box or similar?

• A:Answer We are in the process of dropping cable. We are buying a HDTV antenna to get local channels over the air and subscribing to Sling TV for ESPN. We also have subscribed to Hulu and Netflix for movies and shows. And we are still coming out much ceaper than cable.
