• No, the RAM is directly soldered to the motherboard and is not expandable. I don't have any issues with mine only having 2GB. It runs fine.

• Nope, soldered to the board. The 4gb version is about $100 more. You really don't need it for regular Chromebook activities though. I've been impressed with mine at 2gb.
