It's basic, but I got it for going back to college. It does everything I need, I can write essay, do online classes and research on the Internet. It is extremely easy to use and the battery life I find to be perfect, it lasts he whole day without issue. The only drawback is you can't install many programs on chrome so really it is only geared for web based applications and usage. Also the keyboard is nice.

I like the size and weight of chrome book, its portable and holds a great charge.

This Chromebook is small, light, fast, inexpensive. As a Samsung, the quality is as good as you can expect. The battery life is very long. Because of the ultraportability and long battery life, I take it with me everywhere I go.

I got this to replace an old laptop that couldn't handle the daily commute to college. Excellent battery life and instantly turns on when you open the cover. It's certainly not as powerful as a PC or Mac, but it allows me to check email and browse the internet with decent speed. Only downside is that you can't install Microsoft Office (because it's Chrome OS), but you can use Office Online. For the price of this chromebook, it's a great for on-the-go portability or a hold-over until you can afford a more powerful laptop.

First off, you must understand that this is not an ordinary laptop. There ARE limitations. That being said, if you are connected to wifi 95% of the time, and can do all you tasks/objectives over the internet then this product is amazing. Microsoft online works really well on this Chromebook, so unless you really need a full windows operating system, this should work just fine. I have owned and been using daily, the samsung chromebook 11 inch, for about 3 months now. Overall I am really impressed, At first when I was looking into getting a chromebook I thought I needed to get at least a 13 inch with 4gb RAM and preferably 1080p display. But then I walked into my local BB store and found this on sale cheaper than any sale price online and I couldn't resist. I figured at that price I could just try it out and then decide if it was worth investing 4-6 hundred on a top-o-the-line chromebook. So far I'm glad I didn't because this has worked perfectly for me at work and school. lots of battery life and nice and lightweight. Plus the 780 HD is plenty for the little 11 inch screen, any more and you would have to mess with the text display size and zoom and each comes with their own drawbacks.

Although it uses Exynos Chips at 1.7 GHz, which may be Samsung trying to get its in-house products into its products and not really designed for computer work, the computer works very fast along with its 2 GB of RAM. The Chrome OS allows its startup to be quick and without a lot of booting required. Some have pointed out some lag while typing, which I don't really see. The only caveat is that it has only 16 GB for local storage, so most of your work has to be in the Cloud. I need a lot of memory and have doubts about the reliability of Google Cloud storage. But, I also have a Mac at home so I have a back up if any files goes missing or need to store other work. It is easy to carry around and really an asset. But it still has some problems, like trying to get cloud printing working. I'd say this is a great choice if you have another computer somewhere for more traditional software and work.

I love his laptop. It is amazing how long the battery lasts. It is very well designed, light, easy to personalize and secure. It proves that you don't need a "windows" ecosystem with giant hard drives to survive and be productive. I highly recommend this laptop and you can't beat the price!

The Samsung Chromebook 2 was purchased for my 11yr old for basic tasks (browsing, school projects, word processing, streaming, etc.). Cognizant of the fact that it has only been in use since Christmas, it has served its need without issue. The battery life, HD display, ease of use, and processing speed have all met (or exceeded) expectations for a $149 purchase. By using SSD technology and running an Android OS (versus a beastly Windows OS), the start-up takes mere seconds. The only reason this lightweight machine received a 4 star rating was the absence of a Micro SD card slot for expandability. Overall, the Samsung Chromebook 2 has been a very solid purchase for the price.

I didn't even know that Chrome Books existed until my son told me. I went down to Best Buy to check them out and I picked up my beautiful Samsung Chrome Book. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's small and so portable but extremely fast and I love that it doesn't need virus protection. The battery life is amazing! I just love everything about it!! If you get one you won't be sorry.....I highly recommend it!!

Great laptop. Lightweight. Sleek Design. Great Speed. Great for someone just starting out with computers. Not for the Photo/Video editor types But great as someone's first computer to start out on.

I got this one for my son and he likes it and is very light weight but is missing some important programs that you can only have in windows or mac, like he was not able to download his I tunes app and is missing things like word, etc. So he stills have to find a regular computer to work in some of his school projects but just for basic stuffs is OK, and very affordable. I got it a Best Buy for around $150.

For a Chromebook, the 11 inches screen is just right. The battery could last 6~7 hours for normal web browsing. However, the 2GB memory becomes sort of bottleneck if too many web pages being opened. Otherwise it would be perfect if there is 4GB version. Overall, it's the best Chromebook in this size and price-range.

My son, a junior in high school, purchased this Chrome Book after we read reviews and compared it to others in the store. He loves the size and the convenience of being able to do his homework on it and also sit and watch movies in his bed with it. I definitely loved the price of it. He initially was looking at a Mac Book that was way over priced. Although I may be partial to Samsung over Apple - I believe this was an awesome buy!!

Overall works great. Only problem is that it is difficult to download other software. An attempt to download another browser crashed the operating system. Great box for internet access, will need a bigger system for larger files and of work.

This is a wonderful compute, as long as you understand its purpose before you buy. This is an Internet machine. It's meant to do things on the Internet, and not run native programs. Yes there are some basic media players and such on the computer to play files when offline, but you won't be running photoshop or anything like that. You can't install iTunes or other programs because it is the chrome OS. But that's very clear if you quickly Google this product. I have no complaints. The only possible complaint I would have is the lack of RAM. But, being thrifty and able to google, I google how to improve this with the SS memory on the computer. Google "Chromebook Swap Function". I was skeptical this would add ram, but having numerous tabs and windows open has never crashed my browser. I have had no speed issues with this computer. If you know what you are buying it is a great value. If you expect the performance of a 1000 dollar machine for 150, you will be sadly mistaken.

About a month ago, I purchased a Samsung Google Chromebook from Best Buy and have been using it steadily since. It really works for people like me who only want something that will allow them to get online, watch videos, listen to music, etc. It loads extremely quickly-less than 10 seconds-is light and portable and very quick and efficient. If I had to say anything negative, the keys on the keyboard are a little small-or maybe I'm just used to typing on desktops-and frequently when opening a window, two windows will open and occasionally when closing a tab, another tab will close as well, but that is more of an annoyance than anything else. For the price, speed and value, the Google Chromebook beats anything Microsoft puts out. I would definitely buy another Chromebook if I needed to.

I got this Chromebook on sale for 150 dollars, and it is worth every penny. It is speedy with several tabs open, and streaming video works just fine. Facebook can cause it to slow down, but changing things within the Facebook setting can fix that problem. Overall, I love the sleek design and the long battery life. I also love the micro sd slot with cover, it is much better then a bulky sd card. It is hard to find problem with this machine at the price point I purchased it for.

Was not what I expected. Used to either a Windows or Mac OS, but this was very easy to get accustomed to. Though not as much memory as I would have liked, for the convenient size and minimal price, I consider this another great choice! I would definitely invest in another one.
