“HDMI and 3.5 audio out If I plug in an HDMI cable to send video to a projector, will the 3.5 headphone jack still operate to send the audio to a separate sound system? Some systems turn off extra audio outs and send sound only through the HDMI when that is plugged in. I need this to be able to send a separate sound signal like my windows laptop does.”

It is just like any other true laptop you can choose your audio out through the operating system

Please try again later.I am running Windows 10 on a Dell XPS, and I am able to run sound through my headphone jack while sending video to and external monitor via an HDMI cable. When you plug into the headphone jack Windows should give you a popup box with audio out options. Hope this helps.
