QuestionXfinity is cable TV provider. Must use Xfinity remote not Samsung remote. Will Samsung TV and Soundbar power on and off and operate with the Xfinity remote? Just needs volume up/down and mute. Is optical the way to do this?

- Answer Hi Ken! Certain cable providers offer universal remote solutions with their cable boxes. I suggest contacting XFinity regarding the remote you have for your package, and the pairing instructions for audio equipment. Samsung remote codes are supported by an extremely wide range of universal remote options. Once paired you will be able to control volume and power with the universal remote. ^Tim

- Answer So far the sound bar comes on when we turn on our tv. We do have a Samsung tv and have this sound bar connected via Bluetooth.

QuestionMy T450 is hooked up via the optical cable to my Samsung 43" Smart TV. I noticed improved sound while watching regular tv but when I watch a streaming channel, I have to turn up the volume a lot. Any suggestions?

- Answer Jim424, programs can sometimes be recorded or broadcasted differently, which can result in an increase of volume when switching to different sources. - Answer MAT, your TV needs to be Bluetooth enabled to be able to connect your HW-T450 Soundbar via Bluetooth. The HW-T450 does have an Optical input; if your TV has an Optical port, you can connect this soundbar via Optical. ^Gina
