• yes and no. the charcoal filter is on the top of the microwave right under the cabinet, it took us awhile.before we we'really able to put back in. the screen filter is under the microwave. really easy to remove and clean

• It's remove able, I would probably just purchase a new one though... Haven't attempted to clean it.
