• A:Answer They are now and Samsung will send a tech out to replace the "upgrade" for this model (not) with a part used on all other Samsung refrigerators. It took them maybe 20 minutes and my water has been working for a week now, I am cautiously optimistic. Don't bother with Geek Squad, go directly to Samsung if you choose to keep the fridge.

Q: QuestionHas Samsung discovered the root cause and initiated any corrective actions in response to the alleged manufacturing defects regarding the water dispenser malfunction? IMO this is a trend that should have been picked up by their quality system by now.

• A:Answer Not sure if they have fixed it or not… But they got to be aware of it…. A tech told me that for such a high quality fridge that 90% of the water dispenser problem is just the water line entering the back has around a foot or so of it is freezing. They need to just insulate at least that section of it.
