  • QuestionWhy does the red filter light flash under the “Freezer” on the message panel? Is the filter for the freezer water the same as the ice maker?

    Asked by Non.

    • Answer Hi Non, Thank you for reaching out and we hope you are in good health. Yes, the water filter is for freezer water and ice maker. After about 6 months (and typically, about 300 gallons (1200 L) of water), the filter indicator blinks red for several seconds when you open the door, reminding you that the filter needs to be replaced. When this happens, replace the filter, and then press and hold Filter Reset for 3 seconds. The filter lifecycle will be reset and the filter indicator turns off. I have included a link below to assist you with knowing and replacing the water filter in your Samsung refrigerator. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00060149/ I also have included below the user manual link for the refrigerator. • QuestionIt seems that the ice-maker's capacity is low. Is there a way to increase the amount of ice it produces?

    Asked by BSWIP.

    • Answer I just take the plastic bucket down and shake it to flatten the ice pile. Then it merrily makes more ice. If you are having a party, dump the bucket of ice into plastic bags and store in the freezer while the maker makes more -- or put in a stack of ice cube trays. (better yet buy a bag at the grocery store). Even in Chandler's summer, this ice maker is enough for my family. It is, however, slow to replenish.

  • QuestionHow do I remove the Ice off option?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello. Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 27.4 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator icemaker on how to switch it off. Regarding your concern, here are the steps on how to switch off your ice maker: Press Ice Maker to turn the ice maker on or off. The ice maker has 2 indicators (Ice Maker On / Ice Maker Off ) to indicate its operating status. When the ice maker operates, the corresponding indicator (Ice Maker On ) turns on. When the ice maker is turned off, the corresponding indicator (Ice Maker Off ) turns on. In this case, ice making is disabled even if you press the Cubed Ice or Crushed Ice buttons on the dispenser panel. To enable ice making, you must turn the ice maker on. I will be sharing your user manual link to assist you further. Please go to page 32. https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202002/20200201091442956/SBS_RS5300T_DA68-03958J-01_EN-MES-CFR.pdf Should you need more assistance, please feel free to get back to us via the following options: 1.
