QuestionThe bottom buttons of the LCD display have shifted so the last button ( > ) is not working I have reset the LCD Screen - to no avail. I have to get to the next screen to adjust settings.

- Answer The RSG309AARS measures 35-3/4" wide by 69-1/2" high with hinges by 36-3/4" deep with doors and handles. The case depth is 29-7/8", and the doors can be removed for delivery through narrow entrances. Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" on the top and sides, and 1" behind this model, for air circulation and ease of installation. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

While I can't tell you which models may be available in the future, I can tell you that the RSG309 was released in 2011, and its combination of features continue to be very popular, including the LCD Touch Screen display with WiFi and Apps, the large capacity and the LED Tower Lighting. - Ms. Samsung

QuestionAre the exterior doors magnetic? ( most stainless doors aren't)I would like to know if magnets will work on the exterior doors and sides.

- Answer Thanks for the question. The stainless steel doors on the RSG309AARS are not magnetic though the sides of the refrigerator are. One of the benefits of the LCD panel on this model is its ability to display photos either by uploading them through the SD card slot, or wirelessly from a compatible device or through the Picasa Photo Album app. - Ms. Samsung

- Answer The height of the case of the RSG309 without hinges is 69". Please keep in mind that Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" above this refrigerator, as well as 1" on each side and 3/8" behind it, to allow for air flow and ease of movement. Thank you, Ms. Samsung

Question8"WiFi LCD Apps - Marketplace?Many of the applications you listed are ones we would use daily, however is it possible to download additional apps as well? For example, we use an application for grocery lists, I would like to be able to download this app to the device? If so, is the platform Android based? Thank you!

- Answer At this point in time the Apps that come pre-installed on the RSG309 are the only ones that are available. I can't tell you whether the selection will be expanded in the future, but if it is, instructions for adding them will be made available. Thank you for your interest! Ms. Samsung

QuestionHow are the cooling systems improved over your older modelsI have a Samsung refrigerator from about 6 or 7 years ago. I love the fridge, but now the defrost heater on the fridge side has gone out. Inexpensive part, but in these models, it is wrapped throughout the evaporator, meaning I need to replace both. This requires I find a licensed repair person to handle the refrigerant. That makes the repair vs buy new argument difficult. How have your changed the design of the cooling system to: 1) improve the reliability and 2:) make repairs easier. Thanks

- Answer I'm sorry to hear your refrigerator needs a repair and understand that you need to choose between repairing the older refrigerator or buying a new one. Most of Samsung's refrigerators use our signature Twin Cooling system which uses a single compressor but separate evaporators for the refrigerator and freezer compartments; however, there are also models with mono cooling systems as well as variations on the Twin Cooling (called Twin Cooling Plus), so I can't tell you how your refrigerator's cooling system is different from the RSG309 or other models currently available. What I can tell you is that Samsung is committed to the research and development of new and improved technologies as evidenced in continued increases in efficiency and capacity, as well as design enhancements such as the WiFi-enabled Apps as found in the RSG309 and RF4289. In terms of reliability, while no manufacturer has a perfect track record, Samsung does have a very strong history of service and reliability as evidenced by six consecutive years of Overall Customer Satisfaction Awards for Refrigerators by JD Power & Associates (2005-2010). I would suggest contacting your local Best Buy Appliance Associates for assistance determining which model best meets your needs, and which of your options makes sense for you right now. - Answer Please see the attached photo of the inside of the new RSG309 refrigerator. I'm sure more photos will be available shortly, if not on Best Buy's website, then on Samsung's. I can't tell you when this model will be available to see in stores, and which stores might have it on display. QuestionDoes it really require manual restart after power failureIm reading that the samsung fridges require a manual restart of the fridge (not just the LCD display) after a power failure or that it will automatically restart once the temprature reaches 100+ degrees. We travel a lot so this would be a huge issue, is it true?
