Q: QuestionIs there a difference in sound quality if one uses HDMI rather than the optical cable? Is there any advantage to using one type of cable over the other?

• A:Answer They are both digital signals. So no difference in terms of audio quality. HDMI just handles both Audio and video in one cable as opposed to an optical cable which is purely audio.

• A:Answer The thinner the tv, the less room for speakers. Most people have or opt for soundbar/surround, so why bother manufacturing the product with "good" speakers?

Q: QuestionI cannot select the optical input when ARC is plugged, as soon as I chose Dinput it shiwtches to ARC. If I unplug ARC then the optical input can be selected.I send the 5.1 using the external audio card from my pc because I red that ARC cannot send it

• A:Answer Setting up this system is simple and I'm not sure why you would need the Geek Squad. Have the manual for your TV handy as it will show you how to turn off your TV's speakers, and access the port that you will use to attach your soundbar. You only have to attach a cable to the TV and the other end of it to the soundbar; that's it for the soundbar part of the installation. There are instructions on how to wirelessly connect the subwoofer (pair it to the soundbar) that are easy to follow; takes less than 10 minutes to do.

• A:Answer The soundbar does not receive directly from spotify or pandora and has no applications itself but it does have a bluetooth interface you can hook to from your phone or tablet that allows you to direct anything you play on those devices through these speakers if that helps..

• A:Answer You do not have to have rear speakers. To turn surround Sound on press the Surround Sound multiple times to toggle it either on or off. Unless you are in a small room the Surround Sound feature will make the audio sound funny IME. To get the best Surround Sound functionality I do recommend the wireless rear speakers. They add quite a bit to the movie/TV watching experience. Hope that helps.

Q: QuestionIs there any way of pairing the speakers to an OLED 4K LG TV with the TV remote volume? It seems i have to use two separate remotes. One to adjust the TV volume and the other that comes with the sound bar to adjust the volume on the soundbar.

• A:Answer Yes, Go to the Device Connector app within the tv Once you connect the soundbar via that app, the last menu will ask if you wish to connect your remote your LG OLED remote will be able to ONLY control volume up/down and mute all the other features of the sound bar must be controlled with the soundbar remote (ie sound type, EQ, etc)

Q: QuestionWhy is it that the soundbar sometimes fails to automatically connect to the tv sound. Are there any settings that should be done to the tv in such cases?

• A:Answer Best fix for that is by using an optical cord. Using this will control sound for everything and you don't need to change it. The optical cord goes from the sound bar to your tv and being you should have all of your electronic going to the tv all sound gets ran though that no matter what is being used.
