Q: Questionis the convection fan supposed to run continually?just bought this model, but the fan runs a few seconds, turns off for minutes then on few seconds.

• A:Answer Thanks for the question. The convection fan in the FX710BGS is designed to cycle on and off as needed to maintain the set temperature. The fan should also turn off when the door is opened to prevent the hot air from being blown out into the room. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionConvection on FX710BGS doesnt seem to be workingI bought a new Samsung range and at no time during the convection cycle can i hear the fan going. Is it that quiet? How do I test it myself as I live 3 hrs away from a service centre

• A:Answer Thanks for the question. It isn't unusual for the fan to be so quiet that you don't hear it. The fan is also designed to turn off when you open the oven door, but the turning blades may be somewhat visible for a few seconds as you open or close the oven door with the oven light on. Another indication that the Convection feature is working is whether items are baking evenly when placed on the middle rack. - Ms. Samsung

• A:Answer It's important to wipe up spills as they happen in order to prevent the cooktop from becoming dull. Certain types of foods high in acid or sugar will cause dullness if allowed to sit for too long. Samsung does recommend using soap and water to clean the burners and the cooktop, then wiping away excess soap and polishing with a clean, dry cloth. For more information, please refer to pages 57-60 of the user manual. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionDoes the oven glow when on at all times?I've noticed that the "glow" on the oven floor doesn't stay on all the time when the oven is on. Is this jormal?

• A:Answer Thanks for the question. The NX58H5650WS is a new, upgraded version of the FX710BGS. Both models feature a 5.8 cubic foot oven with True Convection and 3 oven racks, but the newer model includes a smooth gliding rack. Both have 5-burner cook tops with a Power Burner; the newer model has a "true dual" Power Burner that can go from a low simmer to a fast boil. Other upgrades include the design of the cook top grates, a larger oven window, and an included wok grate accessory; both models come with a cast aluminum griddle for the center oval burner, and the warranty on both covers parts and labor for 5 years. Q: QuestionFX710BGS oven temp issues resolved?I've read numerous reviews for this and the fx510bgs dated from 2 years ago to as recent as 6 months ago, with complaints around the oven temp stability. Has anything been done to address this design flaw in manufacturing? I do not want to purchase a range with an oven that I need to test and re-calibrate - I want an oven that heats to the noted temp and stays that way, out of the box. Thanks!

• A:Answer Yes. Only thing visible, barely, is the igniter. There are no drip trays to remove and clean. The grills and burner elements all remove and the surface is VERY easy to clean.
