“Does this washer allow for a soak cycle? Meaning in older washing machines you used to be able to leave the lid open and the basin would fill but not spin or “wash” until the lid was closed again.”

Thanks so much for asking, Sage! On this model washer, you can press the "Start/Pause" button to pause the cycle and allow the clothes to soak. ^Jecca

I don't know but what i can tell you is once you close the lid and select your settings the lid locks. I have nor has this washer or dryer long to know a lot about them and i did push the stop button and water was in it and it ran out.so I had to start the load over.
