QuestionWhat is the small square in the left lower corner for? Is it to capture all the little things, such as money or bobby pins, that were washed in with the clothes, or is it some type of filter?

QuestionThe manual says not to wash waterproof items in it. Customer service confirmed that I shouldn't wash plastic shower curtains in it. Does anyone have advice about washing rain jackets in it? Should I avoid that too or would it be safe on a certain setting?

- Answer Given the directions say don't do it...I would say it is at your own risk; however, I have washed shower curtains, rain jackets, etc. on gentle and cold and it's just fine.

- Answer Yes it is energy star rated... Depending on your hot water heater type (either gas or electric) the annual energy cost is very low. The direct drive motor in the new Samsung is very efficient! Most cost of energy use is from your water heater - not the washer!

- Answer Water beads on the gasket and door coping, just like any other front load machine...but not excessively. To avoid any issues, wipe the door coping and the gasket after finishing the loads....also leave the door open or at least ajar. Those practices will avoid most moisture related issues.

Questionneed to know if a pedastal from washer model WF410ANR/XAA will fit on this washer

- Answer Had to cut out 1/4" of hole on front rights side to get bolts to fasten to line up. Saved $279 for a new one. Had pedestal from a Bosch that was 11 years old, so have not change too much.
