Yes. I have Directv and they recommended this Tv because there is a built in signal.

Yes. It is also U-Verse ready and Wi-Fi ready. My WIi-Fi is always on, so I made all the needed connections, turned on the set and on-screen instructions popped up. Super easy to follow- practically sets up it self. If you do make a mistake, on most items you can hit the back button or shut it down and start over.
