The AU8000 Series does not have PIP (or split-screen). Split-screen capability to view two different content side-by-side is available starting from our QLED Q60 Series and up using our Multi View feature.

A:AnswerHi Jasminegirl! I am very sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with Closed Captions on your new AU8000 TV. You can turn Closed Captions on/off and change the settings such as separating it from the broadcast screen, font color, background color, size, position, language, etc. by going to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Caption Settings. If the feature is not available, this may be due to built in closed caption functionality of the streaming app or device you are using. Check the content source for built in CC options. Should this not be the case, please give us the opportunity to gather additional information to better assist with this issue. You can contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week, or Chat with us on Samsung.com: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/

A:AnswerHi JC! The built in Alexa feature does not have the ability to power on the TV. If you would like to use your voice to turn on the TV you will need an external Alexa device. One powered on, you can use the built in Alexa to change the channels or adjust the volume, along with a wide range of other commands.

A:AnswerThe Samsung TV that I purchased has an internal speaker that allows you to listen at a good moderate level. You don’t need to buy a speaker bar but it would enhance the sound quality if you are watching movies and wish to listen with surround sound or greater levels.
A:AnswerHi strabo! The Altice One app is not available for download on the AU8000 at this time, but Samsung offers hundreds of apps in our App Store that you can download, and we are continuously adding more premium content and new services to our Smart TV platform.

A:AnswerI just got this tv for my parents and their spectrum remote works for the basics like power and volume. I got this tv specifically because spectrum has streaming available on Samsung tvs, so they don’t need to rent the physical box anymore…but they have a very difficult time using the tv remote. I just started looking at universal options for them and hope to get one tomorrow.
