Q: QuestionDo need a home dvr from direct tv to connectDo I need a home dvr system from direct tv to connect this tv
Asked by Pete.
- A:Answer If direct tv is your cable provider, and you want to be able to get 4K content, you will need to upgrade to their genie system. I was told that is the only technology, or receivers capable of delivering that format. i have direct tv and got a 4K ready TV and that is what I was told by them. I had it installed and I have yet to view something at 2160 resolution. However the genie system is far superior to their other HD dvrs.

Q: QuestionHow is the sound quality? Do you need a sund bar?
Asked by JM.
- A:Answer The sound quality is okay for my living room. The tv is between 10 feet and 20 feet away depending on which couch or chair I'm sitting on. When watching a movie the TV has to be turned up to about 15 or 20 to get a really clear sound. I do have an LG sound bar hooked up to the TV as well, & I switch between the two quite often depending on what I'm watching. The LG sound bar sinks up easily as well.

Q: QuestionWhat is the WIFI technologyis the built-in wifi 802.11n or 802.11ac?
Asked by Jim.
- A:Answer The manual says "...802.11g @ 2.4GHz. This frequency is widely used by many cordless phones, microwave ovens, baby monitors, garage doors, and other wireless devices. Reduce interference by avoiding wireless devices that use the 2.4 GHz frequency. Instead, use devices that communicate via the 5.0 GHz frequency." We have not had any connectivity issues. We have AT&T 6gig internet.
