This TV is 120hz 10 bit panel. No 4k TV has 240hz panel nor will there be any in 2015 from any manufacturer. The 240 motion refresh is a chip that will proccess it up to 240. Not sure what your trying to ask but refresh rate does not determine motion blur or image trailing. That is determined by led response time. The time it takes an led to change from one color to another. Check out rtings.com for response times.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes that is indeed true, it is technically an enhanced 120hz frame
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When talking about 4K TV's the "motion rate" is displayed as either 120 or 240. Now, these "motion rate" numbers are more or less Samsung's way to gauge their motion rate within their products. "motion rate" does NOT mean Hertz. I was confused myself at first so i don't blame your confusion at all. i think LED televisions 7100 series and below are the last TV's to run up to 240hz unless you were to get into the plasmas which would then give you 600hz, but that besides the point. 4K tv's either run off of 60hz or 120hz based off of their model series. For example if you have a 8500 series SUHD 4K 3D TV, the "motion rate" says 240 but it only runs on 120hz because that is all it needs to operate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This tv has a 240Hz motion rate
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The manufactures rate this sets by how well the can handle the motion so this is more of a reference. This set does handle motion very well and has user setting for setting it you for people who view mostly sports or for regular movie viewing. The UN55JS8500 does a great job handling motion. I use mostly the "smooth" setting for my viewing content but that depends on you preference. So far the have done a great job with the LCD, LED technology which this set uses both of. The display is LCD, which gives it incredible color and it's LED lit with auto dimming built in which works fantastic together!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are one in the same, Samsung is trying to be cute by saying motion 240 rather than 240hz. Like saying I weight 200 or say I weight 200 lbs.
