I still have a VCR hooked to mine and was surprised to see how well the video looked on the prerecorded tapes but, don't expect to look anywhere as good as digital sources. Not bad though!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.On the back of the UN55JS8500 TV there is special AV socket. You can choose one of two adapters (which are provided) to plug into that socket. One of the two adapters provides the three female connectors (i.e. red, white and yellow) that you need. The other adapter is for component video input. I have not personally tested these connections but they are intended for connecting something like a VCR to the TV.
