Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It basically means it has 4 times the pixels crammed into the 55 inch tv space. Makes the resolution extremely bright and brilliant colored. That said my old eyes at 40 years old can't see a clear difference between this and a normal HD Samsung. Seems like contrast and brightness settings adjustments can make them look the same :( to me.
