  • QuestionThe wifi experience is really bad on this tv. I have difficulty streaming hulu from native apps on the tv it constantly pauses and spins. But it works fine when I use hulu via my external apple tv device. What can I do to improve this?

    • Answer Thanks everyone, op here. Internet speed is clocking about 400 mbps download so would be frustrated if had to upgrade beyond that. I’m about 20 feet from the router. I don’t really mind using the external device instead of the native apps except for that the picture quality is degraded coming from the appleTv. Going to try to upgrade my hdmi cable otherwise meh. Thanks again!

  • QuestionHow do I connect to internet

    • Answer There are 2 ways: Wifi or hardwired (Ethernet). I've got a WiFi router only about 2 feet from the TV, and I've run Internet speed tests using both connection types (using the built-in web browser). I get an average bandwidth of about 35Mbps (highly variable from about 11Mbps to 55Mbps) on the WiFi connection and slightly less (about 30Mbps (variable from 13Mbps to 50Mbps) on the wired/Ethernet connection).

  • QuestionCan i hook up to DVD player

    • Answer This TV has 2 HDMI ports, and you could hook a DVD or Blu-ray player into either one. The TV will recognize when you plug something into an HDMI port and will try to automatically identify it so that the TV's remote control can be used to control the DVD/Blu-ray player. If the TV can't automatically identify the device, there's a way to manually identify the device. I suspect that not all DVD/Blu-ray players can be known to the TV (so that the TV's remote can be used to control the player), but I would guess that almost all DVD/Blu-ray players could be used with the TV (if you used the player's remote control to control the player).

    • Answer Yes, it does. Not sure why someone would answer no. I believe every smart tv has the apps available to download. They are not free, but all the apps are on the tv, you would need your subscription to access them.

    • Answer Hi CodeILM, You can connect audio devices via Optical Cable, HDMI eARC via Port 2, or Bluetooth. On the TU690T TV, you can use both TV and Bluetooth device audio simultaneously using the Multi-Output Audio feature. If you are looking to connect two Bluetooth devices at once, I recommend upgrading to the CU7000 TV. ~Samsung Advisor

  • QuestionJust bought this TV, set it up and turned on, the picture appears dark, is this a bad TV?

    • Answer Hi Jtesch, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings. For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic. Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings. You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption.
