There is a 65 inch LED that is also a Samsung and slim profile, however, it is still 3D in a UN65ES6500. Currently, as I am writing this, there is about a $1000 difference between this TV and the UN65ES8000. As for your concern about 3D, go ahead and get the TV with 3D. You are not paying extra for it, plus it gives you a much better picture than a non-3D TV. The differences in pricing come from feature sets like contrast ratio, refresh rates, and Internet.

From the available information, the only other TV that Best Buy carries that is over 60" and does not offer 3D is the UN60EH6000. However, the UN60EH6000 will not offer the same thinness that you will find in the UN65ES6500 and higher models. -MrSamsung
I would recommend:
- Samsung - 60" Class (60" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - HDTV
