• It has no fan, so it is cooled just with convection from the metal case. I would not obstruct air flow around it too much. Mine is on the back of the TV.

• Hi, many years ago a technician setting up my new TV recommended adding a small fantoo small fans inside TV to save space and trouble happens when they stop working),So, for over 10 years I've added a small blower fan flowing air across the back of every tv I've ever owned and it keeps everything "COOL and SAFE" (and I haven't had one breakdown since - or burned down a single house! LOL.
