UN65RU8000FXZA is better. Samsung UN65RU8000 comes with better backlighting, more advanced color technology and more fluid refresh rate technology. So if you are looking for more vibrant contrast, richer color details and more fluid motion images while you don’t mind to spend higher for that, then Samsung UN65RU8000 is the model that you should choose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the UN65RU7100FXZA for two weeks and while I had lt I was really happy with it. The main problem I had was the remote. The key setup was to close and arranged in such a way if you were just off you had to spend time getting back to where you were. Also the better remote would not work with it. Because Amazon could not go back and set up the 18-month payments program I had applied for they made me send it back and rebuy it! It took a week for pickup and the TU8000 came out and I had time to research it and being a model year newer and an upgrade from the RU7100 I made a choice to buy it and pay about $100.00 more. Now, I can tell you the only reason to buy RU7100 is if you can't afford the price? But I would buy it and give up something else. The picture is so far above the 7100 it is impossible to explain. The details, colors even speaker quality is heads and shoulders above the 7100. Now if you didn't have the ability to have experienced both the way I did both within a day the 7100 would work fine. I wish I were more of a nerd so I could get into all of the intricacies and details of all the different areas of the set. But I can tell you that the difference is so great that I have never seen anything like it in my 73 years. The closest thing to it would be the first computer I had, 500 meg hard drive and 4 megs of memory and 4 more cost $200.00 more than the $2400.00 I already spent for a windows 3 desktop computer opposed the I7 1 Terrabite with 6gigs of ram laptop that cost $369.00 with 8 gigs costing $40.00 or so to upgrade. Now if I had them sitting next to each other and then had to chose one? You get the picture! I can only say now I can't wait to spend almost as much for a 4k BluRay player to see what I am still missing.
