As long as you have SATA and not IDE, all you need is a 2.5" to 3.5" drive adapter tray and you can install it yourself.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sure they will install it. But watch some YouTube videos on changing a hard drive and setting up a ssd drive. You can do it !!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They can install it for you for a price. No idea how much it would cost but you are better off youtubing on how to install it. It's pretty simple and installing it yourself will save you money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Geeksquad should be able to help you out with the install, but to be honest, you would probably be able to do so yourself as well - it is pretty much plug and play (while the system is off of course). There are a lot of youtube videos out there which can be referenced when installing the SSD!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Fun fact is most SSDs are the same form factor as a laptop drive, unless it's specific hardware like a PCIe SSD add on card. Budget $150-275 for labor from Geek Squad. Your experience and estimates may vary by location. Any local IT professional that's reputable will charge 100-150 for an install like this. More or less depending if you want to transfer/migrate data from your old hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, by way of Geek Squad. Budget approx $150-275 for labor. If you have a Phillips screwdriver and common sense, you could install yourself this in a few minutes. Just go to YouTube, search your model of laptop, and add the words hard drive (e.g. HP ProBook 850 hard drive install).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would expect that the Geek Squad would install it for you. On the other hand watch a few YouTube videos by searching how to install an SSD and it will probably save you some cash.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They could, but you would be better served by contacting a local IT company who will be liable for data transfer. Geek Squad usually just throws the drive in and doesn't bother transferring your data or settings. In San Diego, call Local Computer Pros, 760-944-5600
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Geek Squad could install this for you. Not sure of pricing but stop in your local store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most of the time, Yes. Best Buy can have a Geek Squad Technician come out to your house and get the wire to where it needs to go. The only thing is, if your modem/router combo or modem and separate router are in different rooms than your desktop computer this may cause issues. The best thing four you to do is go into a Best Buy Store nearest to you, and ask the geek squad is they can have a computer technician come out to your house to see how long of a cable or wire you would need (maybe draw on a piece of paper how the house is laid out, this could help employees). If the modem and router are right next to the desktop computer, all you have to do is plug the wire into the port on the input on your desktop computer, and then just plug the other end into one of the ports on your router. **Most of the time a router will have more than one port. ONE PORT IS ONLY FOR THE WIRE COMING FROM THE MODEM AND WILL BE COLOR CODED OR MAKES IN SOME WAY AS SIGNAL IN, ETC...*** THE OTHER PORTS WHCH NORMALLY THER ROUTER HAS 4 OUTPUT PORTS THAT ARE THERE JUST SO YOU CAN HARDWIRE YOUR COMPUTER OR OTHER DEVICES. If this is something that you feel you really need a long cable run over to the location, then depending on the length and how the wire will be hidden, the Geek Squad can come out for a charge and run the wire and set up you desktop so that it is only using a hardwired connection so that you get the speeds you are paying for and can also call your provider and have them test your speeds. (For a while my family paid for higher speeds and we were not even getting half of that speed). So please either stop into a Best Buy Location nearest you, or call 1-800-Geek-Squad and explain to them what you are trying to do exactly. (Be specific over the phone). I hope this helps!
