Sounds to me like you have a "dead" battery that will no longer receive a charge or the computer is no longer working correctly where it will charge the battery when connected. I use a ASUS at work and at home. At work I use the original power cord, no issues. At home I use a Rocketfish universal adapter power cord and it charges most of the time, but sometimes, the computer doesn't register correctly and it says I have power but no battery charging. I would take to the store and have the Geek Squad check the battery for performance and then you'll know how to proceed from there.

I would recommend calling Samsung to see if they can replace it under the warranty, or take it to Geek Squad in the store, they should be able to replace it as well, or exchange the computer itself.
