• It would depend on each individual DVD, and which 'flags' it has as far as allowable region codes. Some discs have an open (or no) region code requirement, so it could be played on any player worldwide. The other factor would be is if the movie is available in PAL (which is a European format) or NTSC (which is the American format). Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr.Samsung
