I recently purchased a Samsung Smart TV and they do not have DVD players built in. The player has had no problems reading my disks and setup was very easy. It comes with the traditional video cords, but the sales associates recommend a HDMI cord (I got the basic Insignia™ - 6' HDMI Cable) the picture and sound quality are much better than what I was used to before.

I purchased this player for a 24" flatscreet TV that I have wall mounted in the kitchen. I built a shelf for the DVD player just below the TV Screen. I also mounted a soundbar with a subwoofer so we can enjoy a movie when cooking. The entire setup is out of the way and a decent entertainment addition to the kitchen area.

I have no complaints about this DVD player other than the fact it is so light just pressing the power or eject button moves it all around the shelf. Otherwise great DVD player. Even Has it's own menu, separate from the individual DVD menu where you can store videos music pictures or adjust the players overall settings.

Now that you bought a large screen TV for the bedroom, you need an inexpensive DVD player with upconverting to give you a great picture. This Samsung unit fits the bill and works well. It's footprint is small. The only complaint I have is in the design of the remote. The TV volume buttons are shared with the DVD reverse play buttons. You have to switch from DVD to TV to control the volume and remember to switch back again if you want to use the fast reverse or back one scene buttons. This is a minor nuisance on a good machine.

I needed a simple DVD player until I could afford to buy a ps4 (for games and blu-ray) so I purchased this one because of the price and because it matched my samsung TV. It was easy to set up and I love the fact that when it turns on it automatically changes the TV source (one less task for me). Picture is clear with 1080p and its easy to use. Only problem I have had is with the remote. Im not sure if its because the DVD is inside the table or what, but I have to push down the buttons pretty hard to get reception.

This upconverting DVD player is very small and slim and lightweight. The quality of the picture on my new plasma TV is excellent. I compared the same DVD played on my previous (5 years old) Samsung player with this player and the difference was obvious. I'm guessing this improvement is due to two reasons: the upconverting process plus the HDMI output. The player also has Component and Composite outputs, but the picture is much better using an HDMI cable to the TV. One slim cable for excellent picture and sound compared to the five bulky cables required by my previous player -- that is also a big improvement.

This is a small, lightweight unit that does what it promises. It's very simple to install with either component cables or an HDMI cable and the picture it produces is sharp and crisp. There are no bells and whistles on this unit; it's just a plain, inexpensive upconversion DVD player.

This was easy to set up. I picked this one to go with to replace my old one. Normally, I read the reviews but I walked in the store and purchased. Good for the price. The picture is clear.

An excellent brand name dvd player at a reasonably low price. Picture quality is fantastic as is the sound. On screen displays are good and unit is easy to install with virtually any home video system. Only drawback is that (like almost all others) remote is not exactly user friendly -- major function buttons (play, pause,ff,rw) should be more prominent and larger. While watching a disc on unit, need to brighten the room (or at least throw a light on remote) to see which button needs to be pressed. Too easy to hit the wrong one and mess up the continuity of trying to watch something. Still though, this Samsung dvd is an exceptional value!

The dvd is easy to use, comes with remote control. Good size for those looking for a smaller dvd. Works great with smart tvs, has hdmi input.

Works great with my HDMI connection on the tv we got. It is easy to use and will be using it a lot. The picture it puts on my tv is great.

i like the picture it gives, but the remote is just a little bit tough to use. The remote needs to be pointed exactly towards it and the buttons need to be pushed extremely hard to get action from them. Other than that not a bad item for the price

The DVD player is small, easy to hook up. When we hooked it up to our system, it worked immediately.

I didn't go with the Sony this time. My last 2 Sony players wouldn't release my DVD. I went with Samsung this time. The cost was a couple of bucks more....and a slight bit larger. The Sony player didn't have any light indicatin the DVD is on. I purchased the Samsung player, took it home, took it out of the box, hooked it up and was watching a DVD in 5 min. The DVD picture is nice and clear, and the light lets me know if the DVD player is on or off.

Great picture and sound , looks amazing after I hooked up hdm cable. My only complaint is if I stop player to leave room and then come back the dvd starts again at beginning, not where I left it. But if I stop player and turn it off and then come and turn it back on the disc starts where I left it. But I would recommend this because good price.

I have had it for a while & it works great. It is basic with no bells or whistles, butt it does the job. Did i mention the price, yeah it is almost too cheap to believe. That being said, it does the job & is worth every penny
