• Historically, DVDs will display their picture at 480i/p. However, the DVD-C500 will take that 480i/p image and upconvert it to a 1080p image. -MrSamsung

• Well this is UPCONVERSION DVD player. 1080, 720, 480. HDMI, COMPONENT, COMPOSITE.
