This is a dual-convection oven (i.e., two convection overs in one) and not really an air fryer, though both employ similar techniques to decrease cooking times. Here's a great article to learn about convection ovens vs air fryers: https://www.cnet.com/news/air-fryer-vs-oven-baking-which-is-better-way-cook-frying/ By the way, since this oven has two compartments for convection cooking, the compartments are much smaller than your standard convection oven meaning that cooking time is reduced even further since the areas heat up more quickly and the air circulates more rapidly (compared to our previous single-area convection over). Side note: As you may have already noticed, the center divider between the two compartments can be removed to make it a full-sized convection oven. We love that feature. Hope this helps. :-)
