A:AnswerI think that it means you buy minutes and use a carrier like cricket at Walmart . I do not know if there are differences in the phone other than no contract and you pay as you go. I would put the 2 side by side to see if there is a difference in the quality but if you want full service you do not buy the prepay. If you are limited on income it may be better choice and you do not pay that monthly fee but you lose a lot as well so compare the 2 phones and if you can afford the monthly bill, I suggest buying the normal J7
A:AnswerNo. It requires you have an existing monthly service with Verizon. This phone can replace an old phone using a current existing number or it can add a new phone number to your existing plan with Verizon. Verizon will bill a one time activation charge of $30 for either choice. When you first start the phone it will walk you through the setup and activation. I just did this on Dec 31st. Important tip - backup your contacts BEFORE you activate the new phone or you won't be able to backup the old phone as it will be deactivated with Verizon. I'm adding a few manually every night smh.
Also you will be charged by BestBuy.com your state sales taxes on the full price of $240 when you purchase it. This is because Best Buy will pay Verizon the difference for the full cost of the phone as part of the sale while you contract to pay monthly the $4.99/24 months. You can read all the details during the purchase.
A:AnswerI've installed a few apps and received some text messages bringing my total in use to 8.5 GB leaving 7.5 GB Free.
I added Alexa app and the Roku App plus it does about 8 to 10 updates or it was having problems with my home Wi-Fi at 5 Ghz where I reconnected to the 2.4 Ghz and eventually updated. I have not taken any pics. Just got it two days ago. I have a micro memory card on order.
