The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 can only be directly tracked by one phone/Samsung account at a time but your can share access with users to your Samsung account or your SmartThings Find home within the SmartThings app to view the tag's location.     • Answer Yep. Smarttag2 is submersible. Took the kids to a waterpark with full submersion for long periods of time and no issues. It has that rubbery polycarbonate that feels grippy and creates a tight seal for the battery (disc) compartment.

The SmartTag2 utilizes the SmartThings Find network which consists of many other "findable" Galaxy devices that work as beacons by sending out signals. Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag 2 last transmitted its signal. Other Galaxy users that are participating in the SmartThings Find network help with updating your SmartTag2's location within the app. If you have any other questions, please let us know by contacting Support at your earliest convenience.   • QuestionCan someone that has an iphone have access to this tracker also if someone has a samsung for tracking purposes to know where they are in case of an emergency?

    • Answer No, services are not compatible. That being said it does use bluetooth so you can identify the device the device if the bluetooth is compatible and if you are close enough, like pairing. There is a utag app that works across devices but never tried so i dont know. If you have apple devices get an airtag or lesser an itag. Itag may bridge device compatibility but have also never tried.

    • Answer Severely limited capabilites. There is a workaround app called "utag" for non samsung phones but never tried so unless you're tech savvy i would look for another tag option. Also smarttags isnt compatible with googles find my device network. The smart things app is pretty legit. I track multiple phones, tags and watches and they appear on a map with pretty darn good spatial resolution. A cool feature is you can force ring any of the devices from the app if you need to find where you "put them away".

  • QuestionWith my 8 year old being in school alone (without her siblings) and me not allowing her to have a phone just yet. Would this help me track her while it is in her backpack? Or would it be too far?

    • Answer Depends on how far the school is located. From my experience, they are accurate within the airport area, including when checked luggage is processed behind the scenes on the conveyor belt, loaded onto a cart, placed inside the aircraft, offloaded at the destination, and finally retrieved from the carousel.

    • Answer No, it only updates the location when a Samsung device has been in vicinity. You can view the location history but its not live.
