No. The watch connects to my Andriod phone via Bluetooth. But it does not provide voice (calls) unless you purchase the next level of watch. I'm very pleased with mine.

It cannot make calls cause there's no speaker, making it useless to take it to a phone carrier. Once you try to start a call on it, it starts the call from your phone, which is probably already in your pocket, so don't try that. Never owned a fitbit, but if your looking for lots of exercise stats, this is probably the watches strength. Move around too much or too fast and it'll detect it as exercise. It tries to guess what your doing, like walking or running. Installing the Samsung Health on your phone with this makes everything easier to read based on what its detected. Running, Active time, heart rate and patterns, how many floors you've ascended, Sleep time, even your weight if you normally weigh yourself, is all in the Health app that the watch records.
