• No, you do not need to have the GPS + cellular to send and receive text notifications from your phone. With the non go's version you can even make and answer calls using your phones service. The GPS enabled one gives you a totally separate phone number and you have to have a monthly plan on it but it works independently for your phone.

• These are great questions, paigemayes91! You do not have to have the LTE version of the Galaxy Watch Active2 to be able to receive text messages. If the LTE is unlocked, you are able to activate it with carrier of your choice. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. ^Kayla
