If you start an exercise (walking, running, cycling) then the Gear Fit 2 measures the HR continuously. If the Gear Fit is not in exercise mode it will read the HR every 10mins if the Auto HR is enabled. It can also read the HR manually. In exercise mode the GPS will track your run or ride.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi...I decided to respond to your question because I too formerly used the Microsoft Bands (1 and 2). I really enjoyed the Band 2, but decided to look for a new watch after 2 different devices stopped working and I found out Microsoft decided to discontinue the device. I suppose by now you have found the answers to your question, but I'll still respond. One of the most important features I wanted in a tracker was all-day(and in-activity) calorie monitoring, which yes, the Gear Fit2 does. I find it to be pretty accurate. I always wore my Band 2 on the inside of my wrist, which was a feature you could program on the device. I haven't found anything for the Gear Fit2 to identify that it is being worn on the inside of my left wrist, but I do it anyway. Today while tracking a 1-hour walk, with the sensor on the outside of my wrist, I got inaccurate readings of 170 bpm+. I was only walking, not jogging at all, so that was totally bogus. I flipped the sensor around to the inside of my wrist where I normally wear it, and in a matter of seconds, the hr fell to a more accurate reading of the 120s for a brisk walk. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a bike rider. I know it has the ability to track indoor or outdoor biking activities, so I'd think there is a GPS tracker for an outdoor ride.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This measures the entire range of BPM when exercising or when just sitting around. It also can measure your stress level based on your current heart rate when measuring stress. I do the stress test on my S7 phone's by placing my finger on the LED flash next to the camera lens.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will measure heart rate throughout your workout. You can also set it to measure HR every 10 min throughout the day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes to both questions!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does measure heart rate while exercising and has built in GPS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the original Band at it is better than the Gear Fit 2. The Gear Fit 2 registered a car ride as a bike ride, measured 400 flights of stairs when working in the back yard that is flat and you need to be still to get heart rate according to the documentation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does measure heart rate during a work out and at rest. It has an option for location and cycling. I know when I go for a walk it can track my route but I always have my phone with me so idk if it's using that or just the watch.
