I'm pretty sure from there it calculates cals burned. Also it can tell what kind of workout you're doing (mine congratulated me on my elliptical session which was strange but so cool)!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it doesn't. This is my biggest concern with this fitness watch. The heart rate zone/intensity is NOT a part of the calories burned formula. If you work out longer your calories count increases, but not if you work out harder (increased heart rate). I hope this helps.
