1. GPS functionality is not provided with this watch from Samsung; it has to be added using a third-party app. 2. Emergency contacts are available for this watch... 3. SOME earlier Samsung GEAR (GEAR, GEAR 2, GEAR Live) watches are compatible with SOME Samsung phones; the "GEAR S" it a full-blown cell phone in its own right, so it is the most compatible with many different phones, not just Samsung, but has no camera, Your best bet is to check Samsung's compatibility chart before you decide...
