• A:Answer I’m not sure what you need to be “compatible” but this should work with any TV. Mine is currently connected to a Samsung tv that is roughly 8-10 years old. The tv doesn’t have some of the more fancy new features, but the sound works wonderfully through the HDMI ARC connection. The bar is very easy to use and the SmartThings app makes it even easier.

Q: QuestionConcerning wattage The system has a total of 656 watts. What is the dispersion through individual speakers? I have another Samsung with only 360 watts of power and I was totally disappointed in its wow factor. Will this newer system shake my room?

• A:Answer i can't answer the wattage portion of it, for two reason. The information on the app is very limited, and watts are not really my forte in regards to gauging output. i can tell you that i have 12 foot ceiling and the sound bar itself is VERY loud and the sub is capable too. As for the rear those leave you wanting more. They volume is very low and with no way of enhancing audio which has a big impact on the surround sound. Lots of technical issues that i listed on my review of this

Q: QuestionSo this has wireless Atmos with only certain Samsung TV's. I have an LG G2 and plan on using the eARC connection from TV to this soundbar. Do I also need to run wires to the sub and rears to get Dolby Atmos. I'd like to leave the sub and rears wireless.

Q: QuestionI bought an open box. After reading reviews here complaining that they got Q990B (2022 model) instead of the Q990C (2023 model), I checked mine and sure enough they said 990B. Was I duped or did Samsung not make any hardware changes between "B" an "C" ?
