This model does not support the M2TS files, keep in mind that this is a 2010 model Blu-ray player and it is quite possible that newer models also have more capabilities with more file types. Attached to this response is a picture of file types that are supported that was taken from the owners manual. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. Mr. Samsung
