“Does it only work with a certain type of wifi?”

• You have to have smartthing hub for it to work. When you do it works just fine.

• This is not a wifi device, it connects to the SmartThings hub.

• This item requires s smart hub, like the smarthimgs hub. It does not use WiFi dirrectly, but communicates via a different, zigbee , wavelength and protocol.
