“Black rubber flap hanging down in front of kick plate? No mention of this anywhere. Where is it supposed to go? Can't pin it behind kick plate as it falls back in front of the kick plate when the door is opened and closed. Anyone else have this issue?”

I am also having this issue....this may sound stupid but can I just cut off the rubber flap or is that a critical piece to keeping the noise level down?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just installed the DW80K5050 dishwasher yesterday and tucked the rubber flap behind the black kick plate. I was out hanging after my first wash. I contacted Samsung and all they could say was that it was supposed to go behind the kick plate and that it is there to help wit the sound. I am going to try gluing an extension onto the flap and see if it will stay behind the kick plate then. Other than that, it seems really well made and cleaned my first load of dishes very well.

Seems that the rubber is glued to the back side of the front panel. Just trying to figure out how to take that panel off? Any ideas??

Best Buy said they'd look into it and has not gotten back to me 3 weeks later. I don't know about yours, but our dishwasher is terrible. It moves the food particles around and doesn't truly clean our dishes.

I emailed Samsung to see what they suggest. Sounds like I may not get an answer based on the previous reviewers response. Very frustrating.....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too was frustrated by this problem and lack of response by the manufacturer. I came up with a simple solution that takes about 2 minutes to resolve. I used two 5 inch long strips of 2 inch wide black Gorilla tape and affixed it first to the top edge of the facing behind the kickplate after I tucked the rubber flap above the edge as designed. The other edge of the gorilla tape affixed to the rubber flap and enough pressure exists after installing the kickplate that the flap now stays in place. After 4 weeks it has not come back down. I don't believe duct tape or electrical tape will hold to the rubber - best to use the Gorilla tape by the way.

I am however going to try using "Fender clips" to attach rubber flap to upper portion of kickplate. Will need to drill holes in top of kickplate/rubber flap, but I believe that this will be virtually unnoticeable visually, and will have the desired effect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just had my dishwasher installed by a plumber and the sound proofing black rubber strap was falling out as well. I took off the kick plate and put the black rubber flap up flush with the bottom surface and behind where the kick plate goes. Screwed the kick plate back on and haven't had a problem since.
