QuestionHi, I just bought one of these. It makes some noises when it is starting or when it starts to play the disk. It seems unusual. Does your unit do this? It is like a clunking noise, very audible. Thanks in advance.

- Answer It does it sometimes loading and starting but not loud sound just clicking! Works fine doesnt seem to hurt anything

- Answer It works with regular BluRay movies also. Sounds great when we watch our 4K discs. Have not yet tried a regular Blue Ray though

- Answer No, Samsung has it's own HDR standard, HDR10 which tells the player how to display video, map colors and set brightness levels. This doesn't have Dolby Vision, but it should work with Dolby Atmos.

QuestionDoes the streaming service allow for 4k AND HDR playback for both Netflix and VUDU? Some players only have HDR for Netflix, some don't have HDR streaming at all.

- Answer When a movie starts to play there is an info banner at the top of the screen. This will show 1080p for regular Blu-rays and 2160p for 4K. Hit the Tools button to see while playing.

QuestionI get a message stating that the player supports "local storage" and that the required local storage is 2MB. What is this memory required for?? and I assume that it would be a USB memory stick. Correct?

- Answer The local storage supported is for a USB memory device. It does not have to be present to use the player. I think what you are seeing is the minimum size for an external storage device. You can put movies, pictures, music etc on a storage device and play them back through the player. I think you can also do firmware updates that way which is good if you are in a location without WiFi access.
