at both ends long enough to go neatly betwen the player and (I'm guessing)
your cable/internet router. You should make sure have an empty square ethernet port
on the router too.

A:AnswerI used to work in electronics during my college years. I always advised my customers to not mount it vertically since the disc is read on the bottom. Mounting it any other way than flat (horizontal) might cause skips since the disc would not be firmly in place. Just my opinion. If it works, go with it. Won't harm anything but possibly the disc.
