A:AnswerNot 100% sure but you can always try a smaller 8g usb and see if you can transfer or store data and see. Then if it dose buy the bigger external hard drive.
A:AnswerĮ used it to update my Windows OS, previously I had tried to use many different external/plug&play numerous resources and even though it would download the updates, they would never install properly. When I attempted to use this hard drive the updates installed with no problem. Personally have not used the hard drive with any iOS systems but I know that the hard drive does support iOS and comes with an iOS installer pre-loaded.
I feel confident in saying that it should be able to handle the updates in question.
As far as applications it handled being the hard drive source for every Windows application, including the exe files and the program files after installation, that I used it for.
A:AnswerYes, you might need to format it depending on what you are using it for and whether or not you plan on swapping between Linux, Windows and Mac OS devices. ExFat is a good choice if you want a drive that can be used by all 3.
A:AnswerYes, but only for backwards compatible games and storage. If the game is optimized for Series X|S then it’ll have to be on the internal SSD to play.
A:AnswerI bought two of these drives. One to use as a network drive and one to back up that drive. Am very satisfied with the drives. Very fast. It doesn't matter what storage media you use, if your information is that valuable and you want to store it for years, you should do some sort of back up.
A:AnswerYes, it should. If you're on Vista SP1 or newer then that PC has built-in exFAT support. The exFAT file format used by default on this SSD was introduced in Vista Service Pack 1, there are exFAT drivers for XP, and Server 2003 if you need them. If you're on Vista then just upgrade to SP1, Vista before Sp1 was pretty bad so there's a many reasons why you should upgrade to SP1 if you haven't already.
A:AnswerHi there! Samsung does have SSD manufacturing facilities in Korea and in China. Country of origin does not affect performance – all drives will perform to specification.
