A:AnswerYour tv must be ultra HD 4k to fuuly use this player. It might show your older movies as it is backwards compatible, but if you want to realize the full capabilities of this player you must have the tv that is ULTRA HD and 4K and you must play 4K dvd movies on it. You can use it on any available HDMI slot, but you won't see the high quality of the video with the new 4k tv.
A:AnswerI had the same problem with my Samsung television. After researching the issue, I found that only one of my hdmi inputs would accept a uhd signal. Check your manual for your TV.
A:AnswerI have purchased, two different Samsung DVD/3D Bluray players. They are horrible. My only suggestion is to get rid of it and purchase a Sony, or Panasonic instead.
I will cost you more to get it repaired.
A:AnswerYou can connect the Samsung directly to a sound system via hdmi (audio only) connection. I actually connected mine to my Onkyo system through the 4K tv via optical digital cable from the tv to the Onkyo system. You can do it either way.

Samsung & Sony are compatible, the HDMI reconization that is automatic on Samsung may not function the same on Sony but just enter it manually & you will be fine !!! These were $423.00 when I was an early adopter so grab one now for $199.00 while you can !!!
