SATA ||| is faster than SATA ||. However, It would still be compatible but, may function a bit slower because of installing a SATA ||| SSD in a SATA || system. The good news is that because it is an SSD, it is still possible that it will outperform a dinosaur age disco spinner HDD. I Hope this helps. :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To my knowledge Sata III devices support sata II functionalities and you shoudlnt worry about anything. Sata III is just a better version of Sata II.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SATA 3 is just the most current version, it's faster than SATA 2 and its also backward compatible. so it will work just fine on the MacBook PRO. However, the maximum speed of the drive will be slower due to the lower speed limitations of the SATA 2 port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should work just fine. I installed one of these in my mid-2009 13" mbp along with an 8gb ram update... runs super smooth. :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It'll run at SATA 2 speeds (3GB) instead of the faster 6GB level of SATA 3, but it'll still be worlds faster. I've done a lot of MacBook Pro's of that era with these drives and I've been very happy with the results.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
