QuestionCan this drive be used vertically - on its edge rather than flat on the table? Does it come with some kind of base that ensures it is stable in that position? If used flat, can another identical drive be stacked on top of it?

- Answer There is no base for vertical, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm not sure but think it will be alright to stack another drive when flat.

- Answer The enclosure is metal. I’ve never attempted to open it, since I buy new hd’s when one is filled. An excellent product that I recommend without hesitation.

QuestionI intend to connect this hard drive to an older 27 inch iMac, which has "old" USB ports and two Thunderbolt ports. Does the hard drive come with appropriate cables to make this connection?

- Answer Mine only came with a USB-c cable. although adapters work ok. don't know how speed Is affected with adapters.
